UK is turning out to be one of the most favored destinations in the world for local as well foreign tourists. Also UK is fast catching up as a global business hub with many companies establishing their headquarters in the UK and then expanding their operations on a global scale. Spring and summer are the best season to visit UK though many visitors turn up in winter as well as the whole of UK celebrates Christmas on a large scale. The best places to visit in the UK are London, Scotland and Wales. In fact most of the travel agents will recommend you these 3 places in their vacation package for the UK.

The peak season of vacation in the UK is from July to August as it is summer in the UK. Winters tend to become very cold and it become quite dark after 4 pm. The weather in the UK is pleasant between the months of April and September. In case you are planning a vacation to the UK you should plan a lot in advance. Obtain as much information as you can on the country, itís climate, itís culture, itís people, food normally eaten by the people, places to visit, public transport systems, hotels to stay, etc. Also do apply for a visa well in advance as many times visa problems have ruined a well planned vacation. You can also take a vacation package from your local travel agent. This is because these travel agents arrange everything of your vacation including your visa processing, airline tickets, airport transfers, and your stay in the hotels, local sight seeing tours and your lunch and dining requirements. These travel operators have a tie up with the hotels and the UK tour operators and hence it wonít be difficult for you to arrange a vacation in the UK. You just have to provide details like the type of food you prefer, the laces you would like to visit and your budget. Everything then is taken care of by the tour operator.

The best places to visit in London are the Buckingham Palace, museums like Madame Taussads, The London Eye, a cruise in the Thames River, The Big Ben and The London Bridge. For those night revelers, London offers coffee lounges, pubs and discos. In Scotland and Wales, the countryside is beautiful with excellent greenery and gardens around. There are a lot of castles as well and may of them have been converted into hotels.

UK on the whole is an excellent vacation spot for the whole family. However it is also one of the most expensive countries to travel to. But costs of travel and leisure are coming down to promote more tourism and make the country more tourist friendly. For example you may see that the hotels offer good discounts if you book them well in advance and also during off season. Most of the hotels have their own websites where you can check out the rates of the rooms and also book your rooms online by paying through credit cards.
